Funerals
The death of a loved one is always a time of grief even as we are consoled by our faith. The Cathedral parish shares in the loss of one of our members and joins you in prayer for the repose of the soul of the departed.
The Parish’s Bereavement Ministry is there to help, e.g., help the family in planning the funeral liturgy. To schedule a funeral please call the Parish Office at 859-431-2060.
Baptism
For information about baptismal preparation and scheduling, call the Parish Office at 859-431-2060.
Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is not simply for one facing death. It is for any Catholic facing serious illness and long term illness. This includes someone who will be undergoing surgery. If you are in need of the sacrament, talk to one of the priests or call the Parish Office to arrange a meeting.
If this is an emergency, call the Parish Office and follow the promptings for emergency access to a priest on the answering service if no one answers the phone.
Priesthood or Religious Life
If you are considering becoming a priest or joining a religious order for men or women, get more information to help in your discernment from the Diocese’s Vocations web page.
